The NOAA/CMDL sampling site in the Azores is located on Terceira Islands and is operated in cooperation with the Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia e Geofisica. The NOAA/CMDL flask data from the Azores show an increase in the annual mixing ratio from 339.13 parts per million (ppm) in 1980 to 373.64 ppm in 2002.
